Out In The Park At Six Flags New England, The Biggest Gay Day At New England's Biggest Amusement Park
has been a huge success with over 2500-3000 GLBT attendees in 2003, our 7th year!
There are so many of us, it's getting harder to count us all!
In years past people have asked about also doing a "Gay Day" at Lake Compounce during their Halloween festivities.
So, in 2004, we will be holding our first Gay Day at "The Lake".
This year we selected Opening Night of The Haunted Graveyard at Lake Compounce, as part of our "Renaissance Weekend".
(Saturday is Out In The Court At King Richard's Faire
in Carver MA, then Sunday is Out In The Kingdom At "King Arthur's" / CT Renaissance Faire in Woodstock CT).
In 2005, we would love to see Lake Compounce open the Friday Night BEFORE Out In The Park At Six Flags New England
(always the 3rd Sunday of September).
Maybe, if enough of us show up this year on Friday, October 1, 2004, we might be able to
persuade "The Lake" to open on either Friday, September 16th (just for the GLBTQIS community),
or, if Connecticut Pride does not hold their Hartford Festival the day before
Out In The Park in 2005, maybe we could go to Lake Compounce on Saturday, September 17th and
then to Six Flags New England on Sunday, September 18th.
We can only hope.
